South San Francisco: Three-alarm fire displaces 14

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO — A three-alarm fire tore through a South City apartment complex Wed evening destroying 3 units and displacing fourteen people, authorities said.

No people or pets were injured in the blaze, which was reported at 4:50 in the afternoon in the six hundred block of Olive Avenue, remarked Battalion Chief Matthew Samson of the South San Francisco Fire Department. The residents had all evacuated by the time firefighters arrived.

2nd and 3rd alarms were called as the flames spread through the seven-unit complex.

A contingent of eleven engines, 3 trucks and 5 battalion chiefs responded to the fire, which was knocked down just before six in the afternoon
